The employee of a medical institution and his concubine were arrested by the police after they resumed the illegal trafficking in drugs. Marijuana and synthetic drugs and allegedly ill-gotten gains were found during searches at their home, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said that in February, the two were featured in a criminal case over illegal circulation of drugs, ethnobotanicals or their analogues. The two implemented a scheme to sell drugs through the Internet. The drugs were made in special conditions, with the raw material being obtained at their domicile in Durlești town. They placed drugs in agreed places from where these were taken by clients. In May the man was arrested for a period of 30 days. He was then set free and he, together with his concubine, resumed their illegal activity. On August 30, the two were caught in the act of placing drugs in secret places.
During investigations, the police found ten hemp plants grown by the two hydroponically in a wooded strip close to the municipality of Chisinau. The seized drugs on the black market cost over 100,000 lei.
The two face seven to 15 years in jail and ban on holding particular posts or performing particular activities for a period of two to five years.
