Moldovan weightlifter Marin Robu has qualified for the Olympic Games Paris 2024. He obtained this right after contending at the World Cup in Thailand, currently being the 8th in the world ranking of the 89 kg weight category, IPN reports. Marin Robu also competed at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where he ranked 8th. Tudor Bratu also has great chances to qualify for the Olympics. He will contend at the World Cup in Phuket on April 8. Nine Moldovan athletes have qualified for the Paris Olympics so far, namely: Sergei Tarnovschi, Daniela Cociu, Maria Olărașu (all – canoe), Anastasia Nikita, Irina Rîngaci, Victor Ciobanu (all – wrestling), Dan Olaru (archery), Alisa Glinka (horse riding), Ana Dulce (shooting) and Marin Robu (weightlifting).
