The MPs of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) drafted a legislative proposal that bans energizing alcoholic beverages. According to them, 600 tonnes of such drinks were consumed in 2021, up three times on a year before, IPN reports.
MP Dumitru Alaiba said the impact of the alcohol on health is clearly negative. But the impact of the energizing alcoholic beverages – alcohol plus caffeine and other energizing substances – is even worse.
The consumption of this type of drinks increases. This way, 200 tonnes of such drinks were consumed in 2020, while last year the quantity trebled to 600 tonnes.
According to the MP, such drinks are banned in an increasing number of counties owing to the increased risk they pose to health.
