The exhaust pipe of the water heater was not going out and the exhaust gas was emitted inside the house, according to the preliminary examinations.
All the circumstances are yet to be determined.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations urges the people to comply with the safety rules when installing and using gas installations. The citizens are asked to periodically check the installations used and, if malfunctions are detected, to fix them so as not to endanger their lives. Also, special attention should be paid to the exhaust pipes, which must be unclogged and in good functional condition.
Moreover, the citizens must ensure the rooms where there are gas-powered and open-flame appliances are permanently ventilated.
In risk and exceptional situations, the people must call the 112 Emergency Service.
