A yellow warning for strong winds throughout the country was issued for Monday, IPN reports.
The State Weather Service said that the northwest wind will blow in gusts of up to 15-20 m/s by 09:00 p.m.
In order to prevent possible incidents, the Chisinau City Hall urges the citizens to avoid old trees, including parking vehicles under them. The municipal authorities are ready to act and will intervene, when necessary, a press release says.
In case of problematic situations, the inhabitants of the city are urged to call the Central Municipal Dispatcher’s Office on (022) 22-22-67, (022) 22-26-04 or to dial the single emergency number 112.
Daytime temperatures of up to +10 degrees Celsius were forecast for Monday. At night the temperature are expected to drop to -2..+3 degrees Celsius.
