“Moldova, be proud of your people! Together, we have given a powerful lesson of unity and democracy,” Prime Minister Dorin Recean said in his congratulatory message to President Maia Sandu, who was elected for a new term, IPN reports.
“Together, we elected a President with whom we will continue to build a European Moldova and a future in peace and prosperity. Congratulations, President Maia Sandu!”, said the head of the executive.
President Maia Sandu won a new term in office, according to the preliminary results presented by the Central Election Commission. After totaling 99.86% of the minutes, the candidate of the Party of Action and Solidarity gained 55.41% of the vote.
