The deadline for submitting applications for the 2022 National Awards has been extended until September 14, as decided by the respective Commission.

On the proposal of Prime Minister Dorin Recean and with the unanimous approval of the Commission, it has been decided to extend the deadline in order to ensure access to the competition for potential candidates who failed to meet the previously established deadline.

Earlier, the Commission decided to merge stages II and IV for this year’s edition. Also, respected individuals may sign only under one letter of recommendation, which must be submitted simultaneously with the application, in electronic format only, at, until September 14, 5:00 p.m.

Annually, the Government offers up to 10 national awards as part of Independence Day celebrations. The National Award consists of a diploma, a medal and a 100,000 lei monetary prize.
