As many as 1,073 licenses for different kinds of activity were active in the Republic of Moldova at the end of November. The Public Services Agency said that 436 of them were licenses in the field of precious metals, 147 – for alcoholic production, 106 – for activities related to nonferrous metals, while 85 – for firms that provide employment services.
Two licenses are yet valid for duty-free stores, while one license is valid for duty-free shops, bars and restaurants on board of planes. At the beginning of November, the MPs adopted a law that removed the duty-free regime from Moldova. The existent duty-free stores will work until their current licenses expire. The shops in state boarder leaving areas will work under duty-free regime until September 3, 2023, while those inside the Chisinau International Airport – by December 22, 2022.
In the course of November, one license was suspended, while two licenses were withdrawn, all the three based on submitted applications.
Also, 33 licenses were extended, while 22 were renewed in November. There was issued no new license. The paid taxes came to almost 8 million lei.
