The chief architect of Căușeni district is suspected of having demanded and received money for the issuance of permissive documents from inhabitants of the district. The National Anticorruption Center said that officers and prosecutors on Monday morning raided the suspect’s office from where objects and documents relevant to the case were seized. The official is being investigated in a state of freedom, IPN reports.
Between May and July 2024, the chief architect allegedly demanded and received from the inhabitants of the district 200 to 1,500 lei for taking or hastening the taking of actions in the exercise of his duties, including the issuance of permissive documents for the demolition, construction, design of real estate located within the radius of the served territory.
The criminal prosecution process continue under the procedural leadership of prosecutors of the municipality of Chisinau.
