More than 1,600 Ukrainian citizens found a job in the Republic of Moldova. Most of the Ukrainians work in Chisinau – 1,252. As many as 95 got employed in Balti, and 60 in ATU Gagauzia, IPN reports, with reference to information published by the National Employment Agency.
According to the data available since the beginning of the emergency situation in Moldova, out of the 1,626 employed citizens, 1,073 are women, and 533are men.
According to employers, citizens of Ukraine have held positions of programmers, engineers, tailors, salespeople, cooks, waiters, doctors, educators, fitters, operators in the production sector, managers and data operators.
As of the beginning of 2025, 103 employers have offered to employ Ukrainian citizens, providing 826 vacancies.
During January, 44 Ukrainian citizens were registered by the National Employment Agency to receive employment support. The Agency also offers free information about job vacancies, employers’ contact details and employment guidance.
