Prime Minister Dorin Recean will lead Moldova’s delegation to the high-level meeting of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly held in New York. In the plenary session of the Assembly, the head of the executive will deliver a speech to stress the Republic of Moldova’s contribution to solving global problems, such as regional security and climate change, and will plead for strengthening international cooperation within the UN.
“The prime minister will represent our country in the most important international forum, whose main theme is “Unity in diversity for the advancement of peace, sustainable development and human dignity for everyone everywhere,” the Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă told IPN.
The prime minister also has high-level meetings with counterparts and the UN administration on the schedule. At the end of the visit, he will meet with members of the Moldovan diaspora in the US.
The high-level meeting of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly is taking place from 23 to 27 September.
