The police are conducting searches at the home of former President Igor Dodon. Similar actions are taken at other locations, at real estate units of property registered in the name of other persons. The information was confirmed for IPN by the spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office Mariana Cherpec.
She noted that the searches are carried out as part of the criminal case started over reasonable suspicions of passive corruptions, acceptance of financing for the political party from a criminal organization, betrayal and unjust enrichment.
The searches are performed by employees of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office together with officers of the National Anticorruption Center and the Security and Intelligence Service.
