Government and European Union support entrepreneurs: 45 beneficiary companies

A total of 12.2 million lei in non-reimbursable funding has been allocated to 45 companies in Moldova. The funding comes from the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, IPN reports.

The European Union has contributed 5.5 million lei to support 24 companies, while the Government will provide 6.7 million lei to 21 companies.

“I am confident that any company, with state support, can grow and succeed, create well-paid jobs, help the community, and boost the country’s economy”, stated Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, during the event announcing the beneficiaries.

“Support for entrepreneurship and the sustainable development of SMEs is a key component of our partnership with the Republic of Moldova”, said Adam Grodzicki, Deputy Head of the Cooperation Section at the European Union Delegation to Moldova.

The grants are distributed through various programs managed by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development.
