The National Police have received a batch of drones, investigation equipment, and state-of-the-art forensic technology from Germany. The received technology will allow the analysis of the chemical composition of traces found at the crime scene – such as paint, metals, soil, or textile fibers – without compromising the evidence, reports IPN.
Along with the delivery of the goods, the police officers also benefited from specialized training, to ensure the efficient use of the received equipment. The Chief of the General Police Inspectorate, Viorel Cernauteanu, expressed gratitude to external partners for their constant contribution to the development and modernization of the police system in the Republic of Moldova.
The donation is part of the project “Strengthening the National Police in crisis prevention and crime fighting”, funded by the German Government.
