FC Petrocub Hancesti has conquered the Moldovan football championship title for the second time. With one round left before the end of the championship, the team secured first place in the 7777 League after a 3-0 victory against CSF Balti and will represent the Republic of Moldova in the preliminary round of the Champions League, reports IPN.
Following the victory achieved, the “lions” from Hancesti have accumulated 39 points. The Moldovan Football Federation congratulated the team for winning the title.
Petrocub has been prepared by Georgian coach Shota Makharadze since June 2025. The club from Hâncești has participated in European competitions eight times. The team’s best performance was recorded in the 2024/2025 season, when Petrocub qualified for the UEFA Conference League stage. In that edition, the Moldovan team faced teams such as Real Betis, Rapid Vienna or İstanbul Başakşehir.
