The pass rate for this year’s baccalaureate exam has reached 75.4%, with a record number of graduates scoring an average of 10. Moreover, since the installation of video cameras 10 years ago, this is the first time no fraud cases have been recorded, reports IPN.

In total, 85 candidates achieved an overall average of 10. They come from the municipalities and districts of Balti, Cahul, Chisinau, Drochia, Hancesti, Orhei, Sangerei, Soroca, Straseni and Ungheni. Approximately 1,500 students achieved averages above nine, and over 4,800 have averages higher than eight, indicating an upward trend over the last three years.

“We have a higher promotion rate, more students with very good results, and a record number of graduates with an average of 10. These results demonstrate that investments in the quality of education, the effort of teachers, and the work of students pay off”, declared the Minister of Education and Research, Dan Perciun.

The best results were achieved by high school graduates: out of 11,887 admitted candidates, 10,789 passed the exam. In the case of colleges and centers of excellence, the pass rate was 57.82%, an increase from 54.39% last year. At the same time, over 21% of the resit candidates from previous sessions managed to pass the exam.

In terms of subjects, mathematics remains one of the exams with the biggest differences between profiles. For the science profile, the pass rate has climbed to 69%, compared to 66% previously, with an average score of 5.36. On the other hand, for the humanities profile, the passability has reached 94.4%, with an average of 7.01.

In Romanian language and literature, the pass rate is 98.4% for the real profile and 97.8% for the humanist profile, with averages of 7.12 and 6.75. For non-native Romanian speakers, the passability was 89.3%, with an average of 6.44.

In history, the results are the highest: 99.6% pass rate for the real profile and 99.2% for the humanistic profile, with averages of 7.20 and 6.83.

Students who disagree with the results can contest them on the 25th and 26th of June, between 09:00 AM and 06:00 PM, by submitting their requests at the centers where they took the exams. The objections will be reviewed between June 27th and July 2nd, and the final results of the basic session will be published on July 3rd.

For those who did not pass, the supplementary session is scheduled between July 13 and 20, and registration will take place on July 3 and 4, in the same examination centers.
