A 57-year-old man died in a house fire in Dondușeni district. The house was engulfed in flames in the afternoon of December 31. The partially charred body of the owner was found on the floor during the operation to extinguish the fire, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations informed, quoted by IPN.
Another fire on the evening of December 31 occurred in Glodeni district. It destroyed objects in a two-story house. Firefighters managed to get a 63-year-old man out of the house. He was hospitalized with second-degree burns on his body.
In both cases, the causes and circumstances of the fires are to be established.
In the last 24 hours, the firefighters dealt with 37 risk situations. As many as 450 rescuers with 140 special vehicles were on duty on the night between years.
