Moldelectrica has updated its manual disconnection lists and is preparing to activate them if necessary. At the same time, the company assures that it is working to maintain the operation of the electricity transmission infrastructure, collaborating with system and transmission operators from neighboring countries. This response follows statements and instructions from Prime Minister Dorin Recean, who stated during Thursday’s conference that the company must ensure greater electricity import capacity if required, IPN reports.
Moldelectrica specifies that since the beginning of November, it has successfully activated four high-voltage lines connecting Moldova to Romania. Currently, discussions are ongoing with Transelectrica on how to use these lines to increase Moldova’s capacity to import electricity from Romania.
Additionally, Moldelectrica has reached out to system operators in Eastern EU countries to utilize unallocated capacity at the Ukraine-Moldova border as part of daily and intra-daily allocations on the Romania border.
