In the general local elections of November 5, there will be held no exit poll. Contacted by IPN for details, the head of the Central Election Commission’s Public Relations and the Media Division Rodica Sîrbu said the deadline for submitting applications to authorize exit polls expired on October 28. No such requests were made in the period.
For the runoff vote, of November 19, applications to authorize exit polls can be submitted seven days before election day.
An election exit poll is a poll of voters taken immediately after they have exited the polling stations.
