Members of the Prime Minister’s Control Body have tendered their resignations, following an evaluation of the structure’s activities. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu at the beginning of Wednesday’s executive meeting, reports IPN.
According to the Prime Minister, the assessment showed that the activity of the Control Body component, formed by Angela Rojcov-Ciofu and Vasile Bolduratu, no longer enjoys the necessary confidence for the exercise of their duties. In this context, the members of the structure have submitted their resignations starting from Wednesday.
“Public functions are not a privilege. They imply responsibility. And when the necessary trust for exercising a function is lost, the correct decision is to make changes,” declared Alexandru Munteanu.
At the same time, the Prime Minister announced the need for the reorganization of the Public Property Agency, mentioning that recently there have been several questions regarding certain processes and practices within the institution, which cannot be ignored. According to him, the reorganization of the PPA aims to strengthen transparency, managerial responsibility, and the ability to manage state assets.
The Control Body of the Prime Minister is a structure within the State Chancellery that monitors the activity of central public administration authorities and carries out checks at the request of the Prime Minister. Vasile Bolduratu and Angela Rojcov-Ciofu have been occupying these positions since July 2023.
