The price of diesel fuel will fall under 20 lei a liter. The National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) for Wednesday announced a cap ceiling of 19.80 lei per liter of diesel fuel, 0.22 lei down, IPN reports.
The price of gasoline COR 95 decreased by 0.20 lei liter. The pump price of a liter of such gasoline will be at most 24.05 lei.
According to the Agency, the declines in prices are due to the lower Platts quotations on international exchanges and the appreciation of the national currency against the U.S. dollar.
“The NAER attentively follows the developments on international exchanges and assures the consumers that the current mechanism for setting prices is extremely transparent and guarantees maximum correctness both when the quotations increase and also when they decrease,” stated the institution.
