AnnouncementTop News

Rescuers are intervening in several localities across the country to mitigate the effects of torrential rains, with the most requests coming from the Telenesti district. The interventions involve draining water from households and basements, as well as towing cars. Rescuers have also been involved in clearing and removing trees knocked down by the wind, reports IPN.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, at least 13 interventions were recorded in the Telenesti district. Water evacuation missions were also reported in other areas of the country. In the locality of Trinca, Edinet district, firefighters drained water from the basement of a household. In Drochia, rescuers are pumping water from the basement of a building, and in the municipality of Straseni they intervened to evacuate water accumulated in another basement.

The rescuers remain mobilized and continue to monitor the situation on the ground, providing support to the affected population. In this context, IGSU urges citizens to be cautious, to avoid traveling to flooded areas, and to contact the 112 Service in case of risk situations.

Until 09:00 PM, the entire country is under a yellow code of atmospheric instability, with showers, electrical discharges, isolated hail, and wind intensifications. Hydrologists warn of the risk of rapid floods on rivers and streams.
