Prime Minister Dorin Recean will represent Moldova at the 9th Summit of the Three Seas Initiative, which includes 13 European Union member states bordering the Black, Baltic and Adriatic seas. The event will take place over the next two days in Lithuania’s capital Vilnius, IPN reports.
The Moldovan official will have bilateral meetings with such Lithuanian officials as Ingrida Šimonyte, Prime Minister of Lithuania, and Viktorija Čmilyte-Nielsen, Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
“I want to point out that Moldova has not been missing from the list of topics discussed by the members of the Initiative in the past years. Our country became, together with Ukraine, an associated participating state in the previous summit held in Bucharest and is increasingly involved in the energy, transport, infrastructure and digitization projects of the Initiative,” the Government’s spokesman Daniel Voda told a press conference.
While in Vilnius, Prime Minister Recean will also meet with members of the Moldovan diaspora, including representatives of “Dacia” association.
