A trolleybus was rear-ended while it was in the public transport waiting station on Renașterii Blvd. The driver who hit it was moving illegally on the lane dedicated to public transport.
Due to the road accident, traffic jams formed close to the Circus.
Contacted by IPN for details, the spokeswoman for the Chisinau Electric Transport Company Felicia Rusu said that the road accident occurred at around 08:40 a.m. The hit trolleybus was running on route No. 25.
“At the time of impact, the trolleybus was stationary in the public transport waiting station. There were about 40 passengers aboard. No one was hurt,” stated Felicia Rusu.
From the video images that captured the moment of the accident, it can be seen how the driver gets out of the car confused after the impact and other road users come to his aid. A few moments before the impact, another car that was driving in front of him, also on the lane dedicated to public transport, illegally crossed the solid line and bypassed the trolleybus.
