Five political formations would enter Parliament if early elections were to be held next Sunday, according to data from the IMAS socio-political Barometer – June 2026. The first would be the Action and Solidarity Party, which would receive 38% of the votes from respondents with voting options. The following places would be occupied by the Party of Socialists with 19.9%, the “Democratia Acasa” Party with 13.6%, the Political Party “Partidul Nostru” with 7.1% and the Party of Communists with 5.9% of the votes.
IMAS Director General Doru Petruti stated at a press conference at IPN that nearly two-thirds of the electorate has decided who to vote for. Voting intentions are shifting, but not significantly. “If we look only at those who have made up their minds, five parties are above the threshold, and of course MAN is near the threshold with a chance of passing”, he added.
When asked which parties they sympathize with, 28% of respondents mentioned PAS, while 15% mentioned PSRM and 10% PDA. At the same time, PAS also tops the list of parties that respondents say they would definitely not vote for, with 42.6%, followed by PSRM with 14.4% and PCRM with 10.1%.
The IMAS Director mentions that the survey results reflect a momentary situation and may undergo changes until the organization of any potential elections.
The socio-political barometer IMAS was conducted during the period of June 1-14 on a sample of 1,116 people from 86 localities. The maximum sampling error is ±3%. The survey was commissioned by Independent News (Romania).
