The deputies of the Political Party “Partidul Nostru” did not participate in the consultations convened by President Maia Sandu for the designation of a new candidate for the position of Prime Minister. The leader of the faction, Renato Usatii, reiterated the position of the party that the Republic of Moldova needs either a Government of professionals, formed with the participation of several political forces, parliamentary and extraparliamentary or early parliamentary elections, reports IPN.

The critical formation and the way consultations are organized, noting that the date and time of the meetings were not established following discussions with parliamentary factions, but only communicated to them.

“The serious issue is that this practice has not changed for over 34 years of Independence. First, unofficial consultations take place. Decisions are made, the candidate is established, political agreements are obtained, and only then are the official consultations provided by the Constitution convened. At that moment, they can no longer change anything. They have remained just a confirmation ceremony of a decision made beforehand”, asserts the leader of the faction of the political party “Partidul Nostru”, Renato Usatii.

President Maia Sandu has convened parliamentary factions for consultations to designate the candidate for the position of Prime Minister. Until now, only the deputies of the Political Party “Democratia Acasa” have shown up at the Presidency headquarters, but they have refused to participate in the discussions with the head of state.

The “Alternativa” factions, the Communist Party and the Socialist Party have announced that they will not participate in consultations. Discussions with deputies from the Action and Solidarity Party are scheduled for Saturday.
