During two days, on February 23 and 24, a number of architectural monuments and buildings in Chisinau will be illuminated in the colors of the flag of Ukraine. The municipality said that this way they want to express solidarity with the people of Ukraine in a year of the outbreak of the war and to disseminate the message of peace, IPN reports.
Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban, in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services and divisions, said the Triumphal Arch will also be lit in the blue and yellow colors of the Ukrainian flag, as will be a number of elements of the lighting system in the square of God’s Birth Cathedral and on Grigore Vieru Blvd. “Our message is very clear – we want peace!” stated the mayor.
On February 24, it will be a year of the start of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.
