The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection warns that a new scam attempt related to the government program “Meter Help” was identified. More precisely, an unauthorized web platform was created – www.compensatii-md.site – through which citizens are deluded into providing personal data, including bank details, IPN reports.
“We urge you to be watchful and not to access unsafe or unknown sites. Get information only from official sources and, if you have any doubts, contact the authorities. On the executive’s website, you can find the list of all central administrative authorities and public institutions subordinated to the Government, with automatic redirection to their official web pages,” said the Ministry.
The competent bodies were notified of the fake platform. “Do not give confidential information to anyone and report any suspicious activity,” urged the Ministry.
