Drivers who fuel their cars with diesel will pay 19 bani more per liter on Thursday. Increased rates were approved for June 19 by the National Agency for Energy Regulation. Thus, a liter of diesel will end up costing 19.18 lei. Gasoline is also getting more expensive, which will be sold on Thursday at a ceiling price of 23.10 lei, 8 bani more than on Wednesday, reports IPN.
Fuel prices are on the rise in Moldova. The cause of the increases, recently explained by ANRE, lies in the tensions in the Middle East. The escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran influences the rise in oil prices on the international market, which generates additional uncertainties in the region.
The agency reminds that Moldova entirely imports the petroleum products it consumes, and the domestic prices directly depend on the developments in the international market.
