A man and a woman died in a car accident near Balabanu village of Taraclia district on Friday. The car by which they travelled skidded off the road and overturned, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said the car skidded after the vehicle touched the trailer of a truck as the driver did not keep a proper distance. He lost control of the steering wheel and the car overturned off the road.
The 64-year-old man, who was purportedly driving the car, died on the spot, as did a 62-year-old female passenger. Three other occupants aged 15, 30 and 34 were transported to the hospital with various injuries.
