Wrestler Mariana Draguțan has won a silver medal at the Zagreb Open international wrestling tournament, IPN reports.
The 22-year-old athlete scored three victories in the 55 kg weight class, against Erika Bognar of Hungary, Laura Stanelyte of Lithuania and Lauren Mason of the U.S., being beaten only by Japan’s Moe Kiyooka.
The women’s competition in Zagreb will also involve Iulia Leorda (53 kg), Anastasia Nikita (59 kg) and Irina Rîngaci (68 kg). In Greco-Romani wrestling, Moldova will be represented by Artyom Deleanu (55 kg), Vitalie Eremenco (63 kg), Valentin Petic (72 kg) and Alexandrin Guțu (77 kg).
