The international train “Basarabia”, on the Kiev-Chisinau route, will run daily starting from June 28th. The decision was announced by the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, Oleksei Kuleba, who mentioned that the train will also have a carriage with a play area for children, reports IPN.

The Ukrainian dignitary also mentioned that the schedule will be modified. Thus, the train will depart from Kiev at 05:02 PM and will arrive in Chisinau the next day, at 10:38 AM, after approximately 13 hours. From the capital of Moldova, the train will leave at 07:52 PM, an adjustment meant to facilitate passengers’ connections with other international routes or to the airport in Kiev.

Until the implementation of the new daily program, the train runs three times a week. From Chisinau on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, departing at 05:45 PM, and from Kiev on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays, starting at 05:02 PM.

The train set will feature, for the first time, a carriage equipped with a play area for children. The capacity of the train set will remain the same as it is now, with 280 seats distributed in five compartmentalized carriages and two third-class carriages.
