Moldovan canoeist Oleg Tarnovschi has won a bronze medal at the World Canoe Sprint Championships in Denmark, IPN reports.
He covered the distance of 500 meters in 1:48.50, being surpassed by Germany’s Conrad Scheibner (1:46.55) and the Czech Republic’s Martin Fuksa (1:47.58). Scheibner also won the 1,000 m race where Oleg’s brother Sergei Tarnovschi finished sixth.
The pair Daniela Cociu – Maria Olărașu was also close to winning bronze. The duo trained by Viktor Reneiski came forth in 200 m.
