The Scientific Library of the Balti State University “Alecu Russo” is hosting an itinerant exhibition of photographs entitled “Postcards from Ukraine: how “Russian world” destroys culture” which was mounted by the National Library of the Republic of Moldova in partnership with the Ukrainian Institute and the NGO “Stop Russian Aggression-Moldova”, IPN reports.
The exhibition that consists of 22 photo collages centering on the Russo-Ukrainian war is connected to the Global Open Access Week and bears testimony to the fact that the war brought not only death and pain, but also caused irreparable damage to the cultural inheritance of the neighboring country – monuments, museums, churches, educational institutions.
The exhibition opening event involved persons from Ukraine’s Embassy in Moldova, managers of the educational establishment, members of the Ukrainian community formed in Balti as a result of the hostilities in the neighboring country, representatives of the teaching staff, and students.
