Irina Rîngaci became European wrestling champion. In the final of the European Wrestling Championship held in Warsaw, Andrei Chiperi’s pupil defeated Tetiana Rizhko 10-0 in the 65 kg weight class, IPN reports.
Irina took revenge on the Ukrainian wrestler after she was beaten by this in final of the World Cup last year. Also in Warsaw, the 19-year-old athlete scored clear victories against Latvia’s Alina Antipova and Poland’s Aleksandra Wolczynska.
In the women’s competition, Moldova won two more bronze medals through Iulia Leorda (53 kg) and Anastasia Nikita (59 kg).
