The number of applicants for the nationality of Moldova in 2022 increased, primarily due to the war in Ukraine. According to the State Population Register, the figure rose from 7,168 in 2021 to 10,799 last year, IPN reports.
The Public Services Agency noted the persons can submit applications to obtain or regain Moldovan nationality at all the multifunctional centers in Chisinau and in the rest of the country.
Applicants can also have the affiliation to the Moldovan nationality determined and can obtain a certificate concerning affiliation or non-affiliation to the Moldovan nationality.
