An 11-year-oldgirl gave birth in a village in Moldova about two weeks ago. A criminal case was initiated on this case. According to police, procedural actions will be carried out during investigations to establish all circumstances.
“On December 13, 2023, the police in Calarasi were notified by representatives of a Health Center in Calarasi district that following the medical examination of an 11-year-old girl, it was established that she was pregnant,” Diana Fetco, press officer of the General Police Inspectorate, has told IPN.
On January 13, the girl gave birth.
A criminal case was started over raping of a person younger than 14. The procedure to question the minor under special conditions was initiated.
