President Maia Sandu has condemned Russia’s attack on a children’s hospital in Ukraine. “War against children – this is how we must call Russia’s bombing of a hospital for children suffering from incurable diseases in Kiev today,” said the head of state.
Maia Sandu noted that the killing of children is not about ideology, geopolitics or political debates. “It’s about innocent children, about the bombs that hit hospitals where little ones fight cancer. It’s about children dying in their mothers’ arms. It is a war against children,” stated the offiical.
President Sandu also said that it is shocking that some still deny these atrocities. “Moldova strongly condemns these war crimes. Let’s be united for the right to life of these children and of many children traumatized in war, for a future in which every child has the chance to live in peace and wellbeing,” said Maia Sandu.
The official stressed that today’s world is totally different from the one before February 2022 – “We must focus on what really matters: stopping the killing of these innocent souls.”
