On the 33rd anniversary of Moldova’s independence, Maia Sandu declared she believed in the power of our nation. “Moldova is our home, and we choose a future in peace and well-being”, the president said in a video message published today.
“We are what we choose day by day. Every decision we make holds us back or moves us forward. We the citizens of the Republic of Moldova choose to stand up, no matter how hard it is. We choose to work for our future. We persevere for our children. We choose hope and life. Moldova is our home and we choose a future in peace and prosperity. We write our own history. Happy anniversary, Moldova!”, declared Maia Sandu.
The president will be a now-show at the Independence Day festivities as she has self-isolated after testing positive for Covid. Her recorded congratulatory speech will be shown in the Great National Assembly Square at around 9:30PM.
