The state enterprise Moldelectrica, the operator of the electric power transmission system, will be reorganized into a joint-stock company, at the initiative of the Government to modernize the energy sector and align with EU requirements, reports IPN.
Moldelectrica states that the process will be carried out in accordance with the principles of operational continuity, responsibility, and utmost transparency.
It is anticipated that this transformation will ensure modern and efficient operational management, a transparent corporate framework, consolidation in the regional energy market, adaptation to European market standards, and the implementation of strategic projects for regional energy interconnection.
The reorganization of Moldelectrica aims at creating a high-performance governance model, which meets the requirements for synchronization with the European energy market, thus supporting the security of electricity supply, cross-border cooperation in energy transport infrastructure, and the integration of the Republic of Moldova into European market mechanisms.
