Electoral blocks will not be allowed to use names and symbols that are identical or similar to those of other political parties, including constituent formations. This provision is included in the draft Regulation on the peculiarities of forming and registering electoral blocks, proposed by the Central Electoral Commission for public consultations, as reported by IPN.
In the proposed project by the Central Electoral Commission, it is mentioned that an electoral bloc is constituted based on an agreement between two or more political parties registered by the Public Services Agency prior to the entry into force of the act establishing the date of the elections. At the same time, the decision of a party to participate in the formation of the electoral bloc is to be recorded in a minutes, approved according to its statute.
According to the project, only members of political parties within the electoral bloc will be able to be designated as candidates.
