Maxim Saculțan won a bronze medal at the European Wrestling Championships in Warsaw. In the small final of the 65 kg weight class, he beat Andrei Bekreneu of Belarus, IPN reports.
He clinched two more victories, against Germany’s Niklas Dorm and Romanian wrestler of Russian origin Nikolai Okhlopkov, but lost to Krzysztof Bienkowski of Poland in the semifinals.
In the 70 kg class, Mihail Sava was defeated in the small final by Armenia’s Arman Andreasyan. Valentin Borzin will fight for bronze in the 74 kg class today.
