President Maia Sandu on Monday is taking part in a summit entitled ” Defense and Security Strategy of Unity. Action Plan”, at the invitation of her Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky. The event will bring together over 35 leaders from around the world, IPN reports.
“In her speech, the head of state will underline the importance of the unity of the international community for the restoration of real, just and lasting peace in Europe, so that this war becomes history,” said the President’s Office of Moldova.
Also, to commemorate the three years since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, President Sandu on Monday evening will participate in an exhibition of paintings titled “February 2022: Echoes”, signed by painter Valeria Duca.
The exhibition presents stories of Ukrainians seeking refuge in Moldova and reflects Moldovans’ solidarity with Ukrainian citizens.
The event is organized by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Moldova and the National Museum of Art of Moldova, on the initiative of the President’s Office of the Republic of Moldova, with the support of the National Congress of Ukrainians in Moldova, Intersos Moldova and the Association for Ukrainian Culture and Art “PTASHKA”. The exhibition will be open to visitors from February 25 to March 16.
