Starting from today, voters can request to vote at their location during the parliamentary elections on September 28th. More precisely, those who, due to health reasons or other valid causes, cannot come to the polling station, can ask the electoral office to use the mobile ballot box, reports IPN.
The Central Electoral Commission specifies that the request must be made in writing and can be submitted to the electoral office of the polling station until 02:00 PM on the day preceding the vote. On the day of the vote, requests are approved by the electoral office until 02:00 PM only on the basis of a medical certificate.
If the voter cannot personally go to submit the application, it can be forwarded by a family member or a designated social worker. The document must include the applicant’s identification data, the reason for the request, and, if applicable, the name of the person who is transmitting it.
According to the CEC, it is necessary to attach a copy of the identity document and supporting documents – for example, a medical certificate. Also, applications can be electronically signed and sent via email to the appropriate electoral office.
