The City Hall of Balti has decided to modify employees’ work schedules to reduce electricity consumption in the context of the state of emergency. According to an order signed by Mayor Alexandr Petkov on January 13, 2025, the new schedule takes immediate effect and sets fixed working hours from 8:00 to 16:30, with a 30-minute lunch break from 12:00 to 12:30.
The decision comes in response to recommendations made by the Commission for Exceptional Situations on December 27, 2024, which called on public authorities to adopt measures for conserving energy resources.
The City Hall has also suspended all previously established individual work schedules.
Local authorities thank citizens for their understanding and cooperation during this period, emphasizing that the measures aim to ensure the efficient functioning of the institution under challenging conditions.
The mayor highlighted that this measure is temporary and tailored to the exceptional circumstances.
