The guaranteeing of security on the European continent is an important desideratum for the European community and this was reiterated by the European leaders in the discussions held on the platform of the second European Political Community Summit, the President of France Emmanuel Macron stated in the closing news conference in Bulboaca, IPN reports.
Asked by the journalists if he believes that Moldova’s accessing to the EU can take place until 2030, Emmanuel Macron said that it is already clear that Moldova chose the European path. In this connection, he noted that he admires the courage and character of President Maia Sandu and the country’s wish to do reforms and expressed his confidence that Moldova will accelerate on its path to the EU. He also said that the reforms are fully supported at EU level.
The French official noted that he thinks Moldova’s accession to the EU is not only realizable, but is also a fact that is to be accomplished.
