A fire broke out this morning on the premises of the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery on Korolenko Street in the capital. The blaze engulfed the facade of a four-story building under construction. Firefighters responded, according to the increased level of intervention, and to manage the situation, a command post was established on site, reports IPN.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations specifies that the call to the 112 Service was received around 08:00, and the fire was localized within approximately an hour. 13 rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the flames had engulfed the facade of a four-story building under construction, and the fire had also spread to the roof.
“No victims have been reported. All persons have been evacuated from the administrative building. The cause and circumstances of the fire outbreak are yet to be determined,” specifies the IGSU.
After identifying the location, the firefighters continue to work on the scene for the complete extinguishment of the fire, with two battle sectors being established.
