Moldova eagerly awaits to continue cooperation with Poland and work together to strengthen bilateral ties and promote Moldova’s European path. With this message, President Maia Sandu sent her regards to the newly elected President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, IPN reports.
Among the international leaders who congratulated Nawrocki is also Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who published his message in three languages, including Polish. Poland, which maintains the strength of its national spirit and belief in justice, has been and remains a pillar of regional and European security and a strong voice defending freedom and dignity for every nation. By strengthening each other on our continent, we give more power to Europe in the global competition and bring us closer to achieving real and lasting peace,” mentioned the leader from Kiev.
“I am confident that the EU will continue its very good cooperation with Poland.” We are all stronger together in our community of peace, democracy, and values. So, let’s work together to ensure the security and prosperity of our common home,” wrote President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on social media.
And the Prime Minister from Budapest, Viktor Orbán, congratulated Karol Nawrocki for his victory in the presidential election. He mentioned that he is looking forward to cooperating with the new Polish president within the Visegrád Group. The group is a cooperative organization of Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
After the announcement of the final results of the second round of the presidential elections in Poland, Karol Nawrocki was declared the winner. He obtained 50.89% of the votes, surpassing his opponent, Rafał Trzaskowski.
