The population from the left bank of the Dniester will be vaccinated in hospitals on the right bank, following the suspension of the vaccination process in the Transnistrian region due to the energy crisis. A decree organizing the vaccination process for Transnistrians, in accordance with the National Immunization Program, was signed by the Minister of Health, Ala Nemerenco, IPN reports.
According to the decree, the heads of public healthcare institutions, providers of primary and hospital medical care offering immunization services, especially in the districts bordering the left bank of the Dniester, such as Soroca, Floresti, Soldanesti, Rezina, Orhei, Criuleni, Anenii Noi, and Stefan Voda, will consult and vaccinate free of charge the population from the left bank of the Dniester who seek vaccination.
Vaccinations will be recorded in the child development books or in the patient’s medical record. For children who have not been vaccinated due to interruptions or delays, an individual vaccination schedule will be developed. Post-vaccination adverse reactions will be monitored, recorded, and reported.
Healthcare providers will assess vaccination needs and, where necessary, request the required quantities of vaccines from the territorial Public Health Centers of the National Agency for Public Health.
The decree also specifies that the population from the left bank of the Dniester seeking other routine medical services will be informed about the possibility of receiving routine vaccines as well as vaccines recommended for epidemiological reasons. At the same time, the Hygiene and Epidemiology Center in Tiraspol will inform the population about vaccination opportunities, nearby points where they can seek vaccination, and the required medical documents to receive vaccines.
The National Agency for Public Health will provide support for the vaccination process, including planning and implementing additional vaccination sessions for unvaccinated groups, ensuring the vaccine supply chain, and controlling the storage and usage conditions of vaccines.
