The Italian city of Verona is hosting the international exhibition Vinitaly – the most important wine and spirits fair that gathers together wine sector operators from international markets. The Republic of Moldova is represented, for the first time, by ten wine companies within the pavilion of Italy’s Ministry of Agriculture, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, this participation not only supports Moldova’s integration into the European Union, but also provides a unique platform to draw attention to the country’s wine tradition.
The event is attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Secretary of State Andrian Digolean and Moldova’s Ambassador to Italy Anatolie Urecheanu. The stand was visited by the Minister of Agriculture of Italy Francesco Lollobrigida and Italy’s Ambassador in Chisinau Lorenzo Tomassoni.
